Solace Sexual Assault Referral Centre

Description:

Solace Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) provide local communities with a safe, discreet and caring environment to support victims of rape and sexual assault. Our integrated approach ensures that you are in control of the services you receive and are supported in the immediate aftermath of an attack. At any time, you can stop the process; you are in full control. Our aim is to help you put your life back together. Our staff are professional and are here to support you and we can offer gender choice (a male or female doctor) wherever possible.

The Solace Centre is able to:

  • Perform a forensic examination by a specialist forensic doctor
  • Provide crisis support at your initial visit and arrange follow up appointments
  • Provide telephone advice
  • Provide independent advocacy and support with practical matters
  • Introduce other support services, for example Rape Crisis and Victim Support
